I have Masonite siding that is begining to rot. Product is nailed directly to the frame of the house. One contractor wants to remove entirely, sheath w OSB then Hardiplank. Second says to go right over it w vinyl. Also said if you try to pull off from studs, wallbaord inside will begin to crack. Any advise would be appreciated!
