I have to span a stream approx 20' I do have a chance to purchase I beams that measure 24"with a 9" flange top and bottom the thickness of the steel is 1/2" I plan to span the stream using 6 of these beams ,making the platform 16' wide with a 20' span. The beams will be mounted on cement piers, with 7"X9" RR Ties as the Deck. What weight Would the design that I am giving be able to support. Can you also give me an approx weight per foot of these beams, I will appreciate any Info or help in spanning this stream, I am a private homeowner in upstate NY and need this bridge to get to my property Thank You Peter
