In process of buying a 13 year old house, when we viewed it my husband, who is a carpenter, noticed the master bedroom floor was sloping. We asked the surveyor to take a particular look at this for us, but all he said was it's "probably" due to poor workmanship and we "may wish to get it levelled at some point". Didn't seem overly bothered by it! We are worried that if this has happened in 13 years since it was built, what's going to happen in the future? Our solicitor is currently in the process of writing to the vendors about it. It doesn't help that we are 120 miles away from where we are buying. Should we get a structural engineer to look at it. I must say it has put me off even if it is fixable. Really, really don't know what to do!! Please help us - we are in England by the way. Denise
