post tension slabFrom: texicegal@sbcglobal.net Category: Foundations and Basements Remote Name: 70.129.23.238 Date: 13 Jun 2006 Time: 09:46 PM
CommentsWe are in the middle of building a house and the builder is using a post tension slab here in South Texas. The slab was poured, but the cables were not pulled until 2 1/2 months later when we noticed a pencil tip width crack the entire width of the house. The weather has been very dry, and the framing and roof were already built by this time. They then stretched the cables and now say that everything is fine. Do you have an opinion on this? When is it recommended to pull the cables after the initial pour?
