WHAT KIND OF BEAM SUPPORT IS NEEDED?From: SHACKB@PTDPROLOG.NET Category: Structural Remote Name: 70.44.73.190 Date: 19 May 2006 Time: 11:11 AM
CommentsWe are adding on to our kitchen. The kitchen is 19' by 12'. We would like to extend the 12' to 20'. We would need to take out a load bearing wall to do so. There is a second story above. We don't want a huge drop in the ceiling for the beam. So we are looking for a 19' beam that is only a few inches deep. Is that possible. We live in Pennsylvania.
Thank you
