Air ConditionersFrom: teenadie@verizon.net Category: HVAC Remote Name: 68.163.51.26 Date: 08 May 2006 Time: 10:32 AM
CommentsMy questions is: Why can't I install a 'window' air conditioner thru the wall? My old thru the wall unit is unrepairable, but the cost to replace a thru the wall is 3x's the cost of a window unit. I already have the hole in the wall---can't I just find a 'window' unit that would fit into the existing hole and install it? What are the drawbacks to doing this? Thanks
