Soaking tubs

I am considering the purchase of a soaking tub, but I am told that by the time the tub is full enough to bathe in, the water is no longer hot. And that after your bath, you have to wait for hours before there is enough hot water to use the dishwasher or for anyone to shower. Is this true?
