Re: Placing Furniture on Ceramic Tile Floor After InstallationFrom: nettsinet@hotmail.com CommentsQuestion: How soon can I replace furniture after installing a ceramic floor? Builders Websource® Answer: Assuming normal drying conditions (room temperature at 50% relative humidity), wait at least a full 24 hours before walking on a tile floor installation. The grout and thinset mortar will continue to cure for several weeks, however most of the strength occurs within the first several days. We recommend waiting a few days before replacing heavy furniture, such as an armoire, piano, or other object with heavy point loads. Builders Websource®
