Interior doors are pretty simple to install, only a few steps to doing so. 1st, check to see if your opening is level , prefered on the side that is going to be the hing side. If this is level, you will not have much trouble with the install. Measure the opening top and bottom, maken sure you have the same measurment, now measure the height, both left side and right, if they are within a 1/2 inch of each other, you shouldnt have any problems installing the prehung door. 2nd, the prehung door will come as 2 parts, one side has the caseing that fits inside the other jamb that has the door unit attached to it. Seperate the two and you will wont to install the jamb that has the door attached to it first. Place it inside the opening with the hinged side to the side that you leveled to. Now look at the top of the door were the door meets the caseing at the top, you should see a level gap across the top of the door. If it looks the same , you can now place a finish nail at the top left corner to hold the door in place to get a better look at the level of the door. Dont set the nail, leave your nail out , just nail in enought to hold the door unit up. Now with the door shut, check to make sure that your door handle and lock hole lines up. If they do, you may now nail at the bottom of the hing side to hold the door in place. Now on the side of the door knob, check to see if you have the same gap all the way down the door to make sure it is not scrubing as you open and close the door. If it looks good, nail the top corner, then make sur the gap is the same at the bottom as at the top and then nail the bottom. Now move to the middle and check the gap. If good, nail the door off all the way around. 3rd. Now the second part of the caseing you will install by lineing it up to the door jamb and push it in the slots were it will be flush to your wallboard. Now nail it off and your ready to install your door knob.
