Horseshoe or U-Turn

We want to remove part of a non load bearing wall between our kitchen and bar area to create an open look, but here is the 4" PVC drain from the upstairs bathrooms decending through that wall. A horseshoe or "U" was mentioned by one plumber as a way to rerout the drain to another part of the wall and then back to the main. Is this a common type of PVC fitting or is it a combination of fittings which produce a horseshoe or U affect. Please advise. Thanks Grant Gates
