Raised ranch: southwest corners of both kitchen & dining room sloping toward southwest. Basement finished & no crawl space. Exterior foundation shows no cracks or water leakage. House built in '75 on a sloping hill. Seeing more signs of sheetrock cracking throughout house now. Is this serious? Slope in kitchen is 1.25" lower on southwest corner under the refrigerator. Fear previous owners had some water damage under that corner. Could I tear up the kitchen flooring to replace possible damaged subfloor or should I use self-leveling compound over existing flooring?
