how to convert an outside deck into a habitable space?

I have a project as a designer. This is my 1st situation dealing w/taking an existing deck and converting it into a family room. I think that there should be no problem structurally, especially if the deck live load (60 psf) is greater than in a family room (40 psf). Is this true and if i'm ok using the existing conditions, how can what do I need to do in order to provide proper floor insulation?
