New basement, sump runs nearly continuouslyFrom: fiberart@gmail.com Category: Drainage/Waterproofing Remote Name: 69.14.70.26 Date: 26 Jan 2005 Time: 01:08 PM
CommentsAfter putting an addition with a basment onto our small house (on a crawlspace) we have discovered we have a high water table. Our sump runs nearly all the time, emptying to the city storm drain through a 4" pipe. Since we have virtually no slope to our property, a gravity perimeter drain would not work. What are our options? We have even discussed raising the basement floor or even filling it in to create a crawl space. We really can't see living here without constant worry about the sump or backup sump going out at the worst moment.
