i have a older house build around 1919 with a add on in 1985. below the house in the basement you can see where there is some sagging under the older part of the house. it seems the old owner put 2 post to push it up and hold things up. you can see where the support beam stops before reaching this area. i am woundering if i should have someone add more support or add another support beam under the house or should i just have a contractor come in and take a look and add some more support.
