Did anyone reply to you. I have a 1901 victorian with a unusable old cellar that has a center (original) stem wall, two original outer stem walls and one added on outer stem wall. I want to dig out original cellar somehow and make it into a finished laundry room. I don't knowif this is possible. Ideally I'd like to life the house and have the original stem walls and everything down there excavated and build a new basement and fully finish the entire thing. Here in Guthrie, OK the only basement contractors say noone around here does that. I've seen it done a lot in the north on TV and in books. If you get any suggestions on who would do it and about how much it may cost, I'd appreciate the info. Thanks! KRisten Salter
