Architect ErrorsFrom: Kathy_graziano@praxair.com Category: Structural Remote Name: 192.151.110.119 Date: 02 Dec 2004 Time: 02:09 PM
CommentsWe are building a custom home in which we paid extra to "bump out" the dinette area, but the architect miscalculated dimensions for the foundation and the dinette ended up 4 inches too short. This may not sound like a large error, but the kitchen design already used mimimum clearances for fridge, walkways etc... This is the 3rd error we have found on the plans. The first 2 errors were small (<3 inches) so we accepted them. Should the builder take responsibility and fix the problem, regardless of the cost?
