The house is 26x45, the 45 feet wall front and back support roof and second floor (all bedrooms). I am trying to open 18' from the outside wall which is 45' long. the 26' short wall has support at 13 feet, in the basement column and beam. roof truss are 26' long. As in plan below I am taking first floor 18' outside wall and put beam there shown as **** i-----------i i i i------****i i____i
