replacing existing load bearing wall with beam

I am rebuilding my kitchen and want to take out an existing wall (load bearing) that spans 12'6". The house is a single story home 24' wide with metal roofing , I want to open the wall up and replace it with an overhead beam. My question is what size beam would be required to provide support for the 12' 6" span.
