What is the correct way to cut a hole in an exterior wall and install a room air conditioner? The wall has vinyl siding on the exterior and 1/2" plywood on the inside. The air conditioner opening requires a minimum of 24" wide x 20" tall and a max of 36" x 20". It is for my shop and there is insulation between the walls. Also, how do I seal the exterior to make it leak proof once I am done?
