Re: Thermal expansion tankFrom: fitzmandm@aol.com Category: Plumbing Remote Name: 198.81.26.77 Date: 13 Aug 2004 Time: 09:57 PM
CommentsCould you tell me what the thermal expansion tank on my water heater is designed to do? Does it control all water flow into the house, or just from the water heater into the house? And what if the back stop valve is between the hot water tank and the Thermal expansion tank? It appears that the stop back water valve should be before the thermal expansion tank so that water can get back up into the expansion tank from the hot water heater. Hope this makes sense. M. Fitzgerald, Capt. USNavy (Ret.)
