most small motors I work with follow this scheme Common----white or yellow High speed-----black Med speed----blue Low speed---red Occasionally there will be a Medium high speed that is either orange or yellow. Check for a diagram on your motor...but my best guess is you have a two speed motor where yellow is common and blue and red are your two speeds.
