we bought a house that had been closed up for three years. the house had a musty odor when we bought it but we thought it would go away after it was opened up and cleaned. we pulled up the carpet and took off the wallpaper and cleaned the walls and concrete slab floors with bleach and the house still stunk. we hired a remediation company that treated the house with ozone for 25 days and after they finished it took two days for the house to start stinking again. we have stopped up the plumbing and the smell is still there. it seems to be the walls or the floors. but whatever it is, it is constantly producing more stink no matter how much the house is aired out. could the bare concrete or tile or plywood floors hold this much odor? if so, how do you stop it? the house has been mold tested and is clean. thank you very much.
