i am planning to pu a hot tub on an upper deck but want to be sure it is strong enough to hold weight. It is a 5 person tub. tub weight full with water is 3255 lbs hold 335 gallons. total weight is approx with persons is 5000lbs. deck size is 12x30. I am planning to place the tub in front corner approx. 2.5 feet from corner around tub. 2x10 joists 16 centers posts are 6x6 and normal attachment to house with hangers and slags screws.
