INSULATIONFrom: CURRAN5629@COMCAST.NET Category: Foundations and Basements Remote Name: 69.244.172.65 Date: 13 Apr 2004 Time: 02:04 AM
CommentsI AM STUDING OUT MY BASEMENT AND I HAVE A WALL THAT IS ABOUT TWO FEET FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE STEPS. I WANT TO KEEP THE NEW WALL AS CLOSE TO THE CEMENT WALL AS POSSIBLE BECAUSE OF THE CLOSE QUARTERS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE STEPS. IF I NAIL THE STUDS INTO THE WALL LIKE FURINGSTRIPS COULD I PUT PAPER INSULATION BETWEEN THE STUDS AND DRYWALL OVER INSTEAD OF FOAM INSULATION, THE CEILING IS 9' HIGH AND I DON'T WHAT TO CUT THE FOAM IT'S JUST TO HARD TO GET A STRAIGHT CUT.
THANKS
THE MAN IN THE HOLE
