Replacing bathoorm subfloor, toliet flange and wax ringFrom: barbara.wilt@langley.af.mil Category: Flooring Remote Name: 198.26.132.101 Date: 29 Mar 2004 Time: 11:28 AM
CommentsI have removed the floor in the batroom down to the floor joists. The toliet drain line is not accessible from underneath the house. Before I replace the subfloor the flanged toliet connection has to be in place. Do I have to cut the new subflooring in sections to slide it underneath the flanged edge or can I cut a whole big enough in my plywood subfloor to just go over the flange. In other words, does the sub floor have to support the flange the wax ring goes on or can there be space between the two.
