When a valley is weaved , the shingles are nailed tight to the roof on either side of the valley. This makes it nearly impossible for the shingles to expand and contract with temp. change, making them deteriorate faster than the rest of the roof's shingles. The most effctive and appropriate method for valley's is the "closed cut" method.
