I need to span 291/2 feet to build a loft in my barn/shed. On the back wall i'll use 2x12 and then use 2x10 for joists 16in on center that will be 10 feet long to rest on the steel beam. I estimate my dead weight will be 5000lbs. I was going to rest the beam on 6x6 poles in the ground attached to the main support poles for the barn. Thank you for your help.
