Replacing a window with glass block

We have a small prefabricated fiberglass shower stall. The obvious space to use to make it larger has a window. I've got a great idea...but is it possible? I'd love to replace that window with privacy glass block, remove the shower stall, and tile in our own shower surround. The glass block would then be part of the shower wall, and we'd probably have to get doors custom made. Our shower size would be going from maybe 32x32 to 36x58 (just a guess). Then I'd like the same tile on the bathroom floor for visual flow. Am I crazy or can well pull this off? We can't afford to contract the entire thing out, so if we were to contract a portion of it, what should it be? We only the know the basics of tiling and plan to take a class and research the how-to's a little more. Thank you!
