CommentsI wanted to clarify after speaking with a structural engineer. The Live Load may be 100 lbs/sq-ft(lsf) and the Dead Load specification may be 22 lsf. That means that the deck can hold a combined weight of 100 lsf moving PLUS 22 lsf non-moving weight. In other words you have 122 lsf total, but only 100 of that can be moving. Put in the planters, you should be fine.
