Leaky Basement

We've been in the process of getting several estimates for a leaky basement. One company wants to put in a 2 continous drain and tunnel under load-bearing walls. The other Company wants to put in 3 sump pumps with three different drainage systems to avoid the tunnel under the load bearing wall. The other difference is drilling a continous trench around the perimeter of the wall in the cement slab when compared to leaving what was called Engineering Spaces to perserve the integrity of the stucture and the load capacity of floor from the walls. The third difference is the more expensive contractor wants to wash out the bottom of the last layer of the concrete slab. He said that this would prevent further erosion from the acidic soil. Any help or advice would be appreciated.
