Finishing a Basement

I have a Ranch home with a full basement the demensions are 24 ft wide and 42 ft long...my basement has 5 lolly columns down the center of the room...Also the house is modular. There are three of the lollys specificly...where i want to remove the one in the middle opeing up the area for a large room in the basement once i finish it. With the column removed the span between the other two columns is 12 ft...Is it possible to do it by using a steel I beam above those two lollys to support the floor?
