Hello, I have a main level floor which is basement ceiling that is bouncing under live loads (waklking) Floor trusses are 2x4 yellow pine with parallel cords, 16"high, 28'span, on 12" centers. Desire to install 2 steel beams perpendular with lengths of 18' and 22' to tie into perimeter wall. Question: What size I-beam 3,4,5,6"? would you recommend. Floor is for great room (furniture only)?
