Plumbing noise/vibration

I'm having a noise and vibration out of my pluming. It sounds like a ship's fog horn. It used to go away when I ran water but lately it still continues and "reappears" every 2 - 3 minutes. I've had the pressure reducing valve replaced on the main line coming into the house from the city water supply on the street and the noise still exist. Any IDEAS are WELCOMED.
