Plumbing noise/rattle

I have a noise/vibration coming from my plumbing. It sounds like a ships fog horn. It used to go away when I ran water but lately it still continues and it "reappears" every 2 - 3 minutes. I've had the pressure reducing valve replace on the main line coming into the house from the city water supply but the noise still exist. Any IDEAS are WELCOMED.
