Commentswe've had numerous cracks in drywall, foundation walls and floors. We found out our home was built on "high-plastic" soils and it had been recommended to the builder to excavate 3-feet and fill w/ 1" clean rock. that did not happen. We have since... placed 20 piers under the home with tie-backs on three of the four exterior walls. We thought everything was fixed... but now are experience more cracks in the foundation floor and drywall. Any ideas on how we can permanently fix this problem?? The piering co. says it's from "heaving" and there's nothing we can do.
