Rerouteing heating ducts from one heater to anotherFrom: cwbodhi@pivot.net Category: HVAC Remote Name: 66.186.186.230 Date: 08 Oct 2003 Time: 02:48 PM
CommentsI recently moved into a double wide trailer (1700sf) that has a full basement. The main heater for the living area is upstairs, inefficient and noisy. There is another more efficient heater in the basement used to heat the basement only. The heater in the basement has a slightly higher BTU rating (by 4000 btu)then the upstairs heater. Can I hook the upstairs vents to the basement heater and get rid of the upstairs heater? If so can I do the duct work myself or should I hire it out? The heaters are about 15 feet from each other. Wouldn't it be easy to hook the main outflow and inflow ducts to the downstairs heater or am I fooling myself?
Thanks,
Burrrrr in VT
