We are in the process of having our home built. Our builder framed the home, had it inspected and it passed. He then proceeded to add a room that is located off of the garage area. This room was requested before the building project, the builder forgot to change the house plans that we contracted for. After the framing inspection he added the room. When he added the room he cut about 2 feet off the end of the beam that's in the garage to add this room. This beam is located across the garage and under the Master Suite. We don't have any idea of how that beam is being supported now because he immediately sheet rocked the area. We need to know what to do. We do not want to move into the home not knowing if it's braced properly. Can someone get hurt?? Please let us know what we should do to find out how this beam is being supported after it was cut.
