Double sill plateFrom: dukes909@anonymous.to Category: Carpentry and Framing Remote Name: 216.131.29.186 Date: 07 Jul 2003 Time: 03:09 PM
CommentsI am building a 20x24 garage on a slab-on-grade foundation. I have completed one wall and have a pressure treated sill plate glued and ramset down onto the slab. However for reasons I won't go into here I will end up with a plate on the bottom of my wall (non-treated) on top of the in-place treated plate, effectively 2 sill plates.
The topmost bottom plate will then be nailed to the true sill plate when the wall is erected. Is this ok structurally? Any other concerns?
