Crawlspace Excavation ???

I have a crawlspace made of dry fit concrete blocks. I have severe dryrot and I want to increase the air volume to minimize future damage. I have only basement windows openings to work with but is there any method of removing material other that a good old fashioned shovel? I thought of maybe renting a conveyer belt but they are a bit bigger than the window opening. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks, Bill mrbilljerome@yahoo.com
