stain on polyurethane over hardwood flooring

Our kitchen floor is yellow pine with several layers of satin-finish polyurethane. I have dripped permanent hair coloring (auburn) on it and unfortunately didn't see the drops until they had dried. I'm assuming that this has penetrated the finish, since regular soap doesn't touch it. I've also tried the chemical that's used to remove hair coloring stains from one's skin and that didn't work, either. Help!
