Wood Frame BasementFrom: jimc@hosokawaalpine.com Category: Select Category From List.... Remote Name: 24.163.130.158 Date: 12 May 2003 Time: 12:39 PM
CommentsI have a wood frame basement in a small walkout ranch style cottage. The cottage is leaning from the pressure against the wood frame foundation. At one point in the wall it looks like a stud has buckled, like one of the 6" studs has given way. I am considering excavating around the outside of the foundation and relieving any and all future pressure with some type of retaining wall, does any one have any suggestions or insight???
