CommentsWhile vinyl is touted as being maintenance free I believe the wood will give you a much better look. That white vinyl can be blinding on a sunny day and does not blend into the landscape at all. Wood on the other hand can be protected against the elements and still blend in nicely. As for the slope concern the custom built wood fence will be much better. The fence can be built to mimick the slope or, if the slope isn't too severe (less that 2 feet), can be built where the entire top is level and shows no slope. To me your dilemma is more of a "looks" issue than anything else and a wood fence is much nicer in my opinion.
