I HAVE A 4 YEAR OLD HOME, ALWAYS HAVE HAD A ACTIVE SUMP PUMP. RECENTLY, ABOUT A WEEK AGO WE HAD A HEAVY DOWN POUR FOR ABOUT 24 HOURS. MID-WAY THROUGH THE STORM WATER STARTED TO COME IN AT THE POINT WHERE THE WALL AND FLOOR MEET ON REAR WALLS OF BASEMENT. SUMP PUMP WAS WORKING FEVERISHLY, BUT KEEPING UP WITH THE WATER GOING INTO SUMP CROCK, WATER WAS STILL COMING IN. IT HAS BEEN A WEEK OF DRY WEATHER, AND JUST THE OTHER DAY IT SEEMS AS THOUGH THE WATER HAS STOPPED COMING IN. ANY IDEAS ON WHAT TO DO IN THE FUTURE SO THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN TO ME AGAIN? I THINK WE ARE ON A HIGH WATER TABLE. NOT ONLY WOULD I LIKE ADVISE ON WATER ENTERING THE BASEMENT, BUT ALSO ON WATER TABLE PROBLEM IN GENERAL. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.
