I have been observing my house for the past few months because it sounds like it has been settling, even though it is over 45 years old. Because of this I have noticed some structual dilemas that are literally coming to the surface. My celling beams, i guess while the whole house has been shifting have moved as well, they have been pusing against the celling drywall therefore creating imprints on the celling drywall. First it started with one side of the house where the living room is. That was about a year ago. Now, there are 4 or five pressing into the celling in the kitchen and dining room. Also a new one emerged in the master bedroom and one on the wall meeting the first celling beam impression. Also, the house had few little cracks that in the past year have reapeared and have gotten more severe. Once crack actually taken another form, because you see a tiny space between it at the corner where the celing and the wall cames together. I just need some feedback, this is worrysome even if the structual integrity is not compromised. I do not want this to continue because I would like to sell the house in few years.
