Exterior Wall ReplacementFrom: rts42y@aol.com Category: Structural Remote Name: 129.42.208.186 Date: 28 Jan 2003 Time: 11:35 AM
CommentsI am purchasing a cement block home located in Florida. It has an addition on the back of the house which added
a small bedroom and a dinning room. We would like to take down the original block wall between the new bedroom and an
existing bedroom to open it up for a master bedroom. The original home has a tile roof and the addition is roll roofing.
The span will be 12ft. Should I stick with wood to build a header or can I go with a smaller steel beam to reduce the
beam look in the new larger room.
