Floating Floor Outlet

My builder just poured my slab but "forgot" to add in the PVC conduit for a floating electrical outlet in my family room floor. Now they're wanting to cut the slab to add the outlet, but I'm nervous about the structural integrety of the slab should they cut into it. Will cutting the slab to fix this mistake open the door for significant cracks in the slab as the ground shifts?
