Re: Cost of excavating Bedrock?

The cost of excavation varies greatly depending on the access to the area, the slope, and whether special measures are required to remove the bedrock while protecting adjacent properties. Also, hauling and dumping fees can be significant, unless you can identify where bedrock fill may be required for another project. We recommend that you get at least 2-3 bids from local, licensed excavation contractors who can evaluate your site first hand. If you're planning to build a new home, this cost is generally factored into the bid, unless you plan to build the home yourself. Builders Websource
