RC-1 Channel for Ceilings - How To ?From: fry.spam@worldnet.att.net Category: Wallboard/Veneer Plaster Remote Name: 12.87.59.21 Date: 21 Oct 2002 Time: 07:37 PM
CommentsWhen using RC-1 (resilient channel) for ceilings do you "screw and glue" like you would applying directly to wood stud either between drywall or joist and the RC ? Do you need to clean or wipe the channel down to glue ? Some samples I've seen at HD seemed to have an oil film. Lastly where relative to the joist above do you put the drywall screws.
