Re: Closet DoorsFrom: info@builderswebsource.com Category: Windows and Doors Remote Name: 63.198.181.43 Date: 28 Sep 2002 Time: 12:25 PM
CommentsTrifold doors aren't common, however ganged bifold doors are available. For example, you could attach 3 pairs of bifold doors together (each one being approximately 12" wide) to span your 6-foot opening. The fixed pivot would be on one side of closet (left or right side according to your preference), and the far end of the door would be free to slide along the track creating an accordion-type look as you open the door. Any competent carpenter or door company can build this for you according to your exact measurements. Make sure that each "end" of each bifold door is suspended from the sliding track, otherwise it won't "fold up" properly when opened. Such arrangements are also typical of folding window shutters.
