We don't have a clear understanding of the orientation of the support beam relative to the deck. Is the proposed steel beam running along the center of the deck? The edge of the deck? If it's along the edge of the deck, what's supporting the other 31' span of the deck? Or, did you intend to use two steel beams, one on each side? Also, what part of New York do you live in? The snow load in Buffalo is much higher than the snow load in NYC.
